Compensation Range: $140,000-$180,000 PLUS BONUS

Job Purpose

We are seeking a forward-thinking and data-saavy Director of Talent Development to spearhead our Learning and Development (L&D) and Talent Management initiatives. This role is essential in creating a strategic approach to talent development, leveraging insights and analytics to drive decision-making and optimizing our workforce's capabilities through innovative programs. The successful candidate will be adept at using analytics to drive decisions, measure program effectiveness, optimize talent development processes and enhance overall organizational performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Talent Development Strategy:

  • Design and implement a talent development strategy that leverages workforce analytics to identify skills gaps, forecast future needs, and align with business objectives.
  • Utilize data to create targeted development programs that address both immediate and long-term talent needs.
  • Leverage data to forecast talent requirements and tailor development programs that address both current and anticipated organizational needs.

Learning and Development (L&D):

  • Design and implement L&D programs based on comprehensive needs assessments, utilizing analytics to pinpoint skills gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize metrics and feedback tools to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives, adjusting programs based on data-driven insights.
  • Employ learning analytics to track participant progress, engagement levels, and the impact of training on performance.
  • Implement advanced learning technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Talent Management:

  • Oversee the talent management lifecycle, incorporating data analytics to enhance performance management, succession planning, and career development processes.
  • Implement and manage talent assessment tools and metrics to identify high-potential employees, track their development, and plan for future leadership needs.
  • Monitor and analyze talent metrics to inform decisions on talent deployment, retention strategies, and career pathing.

Change Management:

  • Lead initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the organization.
  • Manage change management efforts related to talent development and ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of L&D and talent management professionals, setting clear goals and providing guidance and support, tracking team effectiveness through key metrics.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the team, encouraging the use of analytics to enhance program outcomes and team performance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with senior leadership and department heads to align talent development initiatives with strategic business objectives, using data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Present data-driven reports and analyses to stakeholders, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities related to talent development and management
  • Serve as a key advisor on talent development and management issues, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the budget for L&D and talent management programs, utilizing financial analytics to ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Track and analyze budget expenditures, providing regular reports on financial performance and return on investment (ROI) for talent development initiatives.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure all talent development practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent development and management to keep the organization competitive and relevant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent development, learning and development, talent management or related roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective training programs and talent management processes.
  • Proven expertise in using data analytics tools and techniques to design and assess training programs and talent management processes.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and learning management systems (LMS), with experience in data analytics platforms preferred.
  • Certification in talent management or training (e.g., SHRM, ATD) is a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 25%.
