Job Purpose

 

The Production Training Coordinator at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys, is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training programs to support production operations. This role ensures employees are properly trained, compliant with industry standards, and equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to perform their jobs effectively and safely.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver training as a certified IPC 620 trainer, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct production training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Lead New Hire Orientation and support onboarding activities for production personnel.
  • Maintain and update production training records, including OJT (On-the-Job Training) matrices and logs.
  • Develop and update packaging documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Design and implement packing aids to improve efficiency and product protection.
  • Prepare, execute, and document packaging drop tests to validate packaging integrity.
  • Support readiness and preparation efforts for 4G or related operational initiatives.
  • Ensure production areas are adequately supplied with required materials and consumables.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and generate purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Create and manage BOMs for outsourced services, including PCB coating processes.
  • Conduct internal audits for ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), FOD (Foreign Object Debris), and safety compliance.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new hires on production processes and standards.
  • Perform work instruction audits and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Manage receipt and verification of PCBs and packaging materials.
  • Promote and maintain calibration awareness within the production environment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Certified IPC 620 Trainer (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Knowledge of ESD, FOD, and safety standards.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with BOMs, work instructions, and production processes.
