Job Purpose

The Recruiting and Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all recruiting activities, as well as pre-employment onboarding tasks. The incumbent will work closely with the recruiters, hiring managers and candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. 

THIS ROLE WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE IN THE READING, PA HEADQUARTERS OFFICE A MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS PER WEEK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm candidate interviews for hiring managers as requested. Include recruiters in all communications confirming interviews.
  • Arrange candidate travel to include flight, hotel and rental car scheduling.  Assist candidate with travel reimbursement expenses and vendor coordination.
  • Arrange wrap up calls with interviewers and the recruiter to discuss finalist of candidates. 
  • Manage coordination and support of job fairs. This will also include attending job fairs virtually and onsite as a representative of EnerSys. Responsible for job fair materials, to include ensuring job fair supplies are stocked, mailed out and returned. Will also include uploading job fair data into the system and send out follow up letters. 
  • Initiate skill assessment screening and monitor candidate progress. Keeping in continuous communication with recruiter, hiring managers, and candidates throughout the process.
  • Create and send offer letters along with informational documentation to the selected candidate.
  • Maintain communication with the candidate throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure data is up to date within our Applicant Tracking System as the candidate progresses through the talent pipeline. 
  • Kick-off and monitor the pre-employment screening process to include but not limited to drug screening and background check.
  • Work with HRBP to analyze pre-employment screening results and initiate the adverse action process if necessary.
  • Upon clearance of pre-employment screening, confirm start date and initiate onboarding to include assisting with new hire paperwork, completing I-9, as well as ensuring equipment is obtained through communication with hiring manager.
  • Ensure a positive new hire experience by sending a welcome packet to include swag and maintain regular communication with the candidate throughout the onboarding process.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Primary Position Management SME duties.
  • Support the EnerSys Brand by engaging with social media posts and sharing content within network.
  • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office environment or customer service role.
  • Experience using an ATS system preferred. 
  • PHR/SHRM-CP desired but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong writing, time management, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the job function.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and social media.
  • Proficient English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and math skills.

General Job Requirements

  • This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
