Responsabilidades del puesto

Perform a professional accounting process involving compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data for the business unit that comply with existing corporate financial policies and regulations. Work within an agreed plan and support / coach junior team members.  Ensure that reporting is correct, timely and compliant to procedures and legislation, identify any shortcomings and recommend improvements.

• Calculate payroll, ensuring its accuracy and compliance with related taxes and deductions applicable to it.
• Perform the payroll payment transfers in a timely manner.
• Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliations of the different accounting books.
• Responsible for reviewing bank balances and preparing the weekly cash requirements.
• Calculate the federal and state taxes payments.
• Prepare the annual informative returns, as well as maintaining optimal compliance with the tax rules.
• Prepare and submit on time the Value Added and Income Tax refunds.
• Submit the monthly electronic accounting on time.
• Review the payments to local vendors and validate their tax status.
• Accounting of the payroll-related expenses and indirect operating costs, for control and comparison against budget.
• Support other areas of any necessary analysis of their operating expenses.
• Assist and give support from any internal and external audits.
• Support in the development and implementation of internal control policies at the Plant level and corporate guidelines.
• Active involvement in the annual budget process and monthly forecast of operating expenses.
• Participation in daily meetings to manage improvements (MDIs) in finance, as well as other areas of the organization as needed.
• Involvement and support in the different performance metrics (KPIs) of the company.
• Perform the analysis and tax records for US GAAP purposes.

Support to be in compliance and keep updated the company's legal file

Minimum Qualifications

• Accounting Degree
• 6-10+ years of of accounting experience
• Proven expertise in manufacturing companies.
• Previous experience in international auditing and/or tax firms, preferably.
• Proactive person with an excellent service attitude.
• Experience in MS Office and advanced Excel.
• Up to date on tax rules.
• Communication skills at all levels.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
